A LETTER FROM STEFANIE ALLWEISS

                                                                                    March 23, 2009

Dear Colleague:

I am pleased to inform you that I have recently joined the mediation/arbitration firm of ADR inc.

My experiences as a Labor and Employment attorney for twenty-five years, and then as the Executive Director of Employee Relations and Equity for Tulane University for over three years, have taught me that the mediation or arbitration of a dispute is an expeditious, cost effective, and satisfying alternative to litigation.

As an attorney, I participated in the mediation/arbitration process for numerous cases, including State and Federal matters, as well as Agency hearings. As Tulane University’s Executive Director of Employee Relations and Equity, I reviewed and resolved hundreds of employee complaints and investigated and resolved a myriad of harassment and discrimination allegations.

I have observed from these experiences that even where parties to a complaint are diametrically opposed, the mediation process offers them the opportunity to come face to face and articulate their respective positions to a neutral, unbiased third party with the shared hope of reaching common ground.  I found that my clients were generally very satisfied with the experience, and upon resolution, usually expressed a genuine sense of relief that the matter had been resolved.

The purpose of this letter is to encourage you to use mediation; to allow me to serve as your mediator; and to request that you inform other members of your firm or organization that I am available to them for mediations in the future.

I am grateful to be affiliated with ADR inc., a firm that has integrity and an impressive rate of success. I assure you that as a mediator I will follow their tradition and work hard to allow the process to result in a satisfactory resolution for you and your clients.

I look forward to hearing from you. I can be reached by email at sallweiss@gmail.com or by phone at 504-858-8713.

Sincerely,

Stefanie J. Allweiss
